...in fact the only one I found that does not charge up front fees is Vacation Traders. Now I have a question, why do these Timeshares resellers say its illegal to charge commission fee? They are rendering a service are they not? Thanks for a answer in advance.
Great question. It is in fact illegal to charge a commission on the backend of a timeshare sale unless you are in fact a licensed Realtor. Now for the kicker. Most realestate brokers would not want to waste time on a $10,000 timeshare to make their commission when they can work on a $100,000 home and make a commission. Therefore realestate brokers are typically inexperienced and do not care for timeshare sales. Now back to your question. To get around the illegal to accept a commission law, all a company has to do is change the word commission to service fee. However most of these supposed timeshare resellers only are interested in your upfront service fee; therefore they aren't interested in the actual sale of your property as they get paid upfront. They use the illegal to take commission as a crutch to entice you to pay the fee. Next time one calls you tell them to call it a service fee on the back end and not a commission so they aren't breaking any laws. They will not be interested.
