Jim Henry from TRA Las Vegas just called me again to follow up. I asked him a few more questions but unfortunately he caught me off guard so no voice stress analysis.
How long have you been in business? Jim said he has been with the company for 6 years. We know from posts online on other sites, this site, and the secretary of state that he bold face lied.
In that six years you should have a lot of testimonials and people you can give me as a referral. Jim said he had 100's but couldn't give any of them out. Am I the only one who thinks that defeats the purpose of having them?
You said the $2,000 was for the attorneys who are notorious for being money hungry. Why don't they eat the $2,000, sell my property for the $31,200 you say you can get and keep the change as I only want $15,000? He said it doesn't work like that we can't do it that way. Either they make poor business decisions or they only are interested in upfront money. You decide.
I checked online and found out you have only been in business for 14 months in which time have taken in over $600,000 in upfront fees. It sounds like that is what you are after. He said they make 8% of the sale as a commission. I know only a licensed real estate broker can charge a commission.
I am convinced that they are complete scams. Nothing I was told passed the "sniff test". I caught Jim in a few lies, they can't provide anything to me in writing, admittedly by Jim "what I say on the phone I can't say in writing", no satisfied customers to talk to, telling me I can get way more than what it's worth, can't tell me what company is buying these, and the fact they weren't interested in making $15,000 in lieu of my upfront $2,000 says it all. Run, run away fast. I advise you all to cancel and get your money back. Dispute with your credit card company if you can. If you can't or you lose the dispute let us help.

I, like many others, have been receiving phone calls from TRA Las Vegas. After reviewing this site, I told them that I did not trust the company. The person I have been talking to is Eric H. (I can't remember his last name.) Today he calls and said they have been voted number one corporate tax break company... He said Google us. I did... It says nothing about them being number one. They are the first company listed on the sponsored links. They pay to be connected to certain web searches and per visit to their site from google. So I have been clicking on it a lot. LOL!!!! If it was such big news it would be on other search engines also.

They just called again... I informed Eric Hopp that they had not been voted number one. It was a sponsored link for which the company was paying Google to list. I asked him if Jim Henry worked there and he told me no. Needless to say, I will not be giving them 2000 dollars until someone can verify that they have received payment from this company.

Jim didn't tell me they were voted number one but did tell me to Google them too. What idiots. I wonder if they know that when someone actually does Google them that this thread is on the first page? The majority of the traffic that this thread recieves is from people doing a Google search on TRAlasvegas.com. That is probably how you found this thread. So basically they might as well be saying, "Hey go on Google and search for us. You will find that TRA Las Vegas is a scam and can read all about it."

Tonight, my husband and I had a call from TRA LAS VAGAS. They wanted to help us in the worst way to sell out timeshare. They offered a sale for an advance of $2000 which became $4000 in order to perform the duties of a advertiser and salesman. This was to cover their original cost of advertising and doing business. The only info they needed from us was a quick accessment of our property and the desire to sell. The offer was very adequate and wet our appetite to sell with them. When we wanted further info about their business they were vague. They faxed three sheet ABOUT OUR COMPANY and a information sheet about us and the property description. We were perplexed about their cavalier manner and wanted more info about them. I soon got online and found this site. WOW! I knew that it was a scam. It blasted the words out loud. SCAM I have no proof, but if you are the least bit savy, you know something is not correct. So glad to hear that we were not crazy. If this is a sound business and legal and honest please let us know!

@SJG Don't feel bad. Many fall victim. If you fight back and fight hard enough you may actually get your money back. @HIGHLANDER65 Again I like your style and the fact that you aren't just laying down and taking it. If you do get your money back it is only because you fought back. I'm sure you know that the corporate buyer doesn't exist. We will see in March for sure. They will probably deny the fact they told you that. I legally recorded them telling me the same line. For your sake I hope you get your money back. Don't take it the wrong way but in a way I hope they don't give it back to you. I say that only because I know you will raise such a big stink in the right places that will probably get these people shut down and your money back in the end. Please keep coming back to the forum and keep us updated. Keep up the fight and inspiring others to do so. NO RETRREAT! NEVER SURRENDER!

;)To Vendetta, thanks for the kind words.
To the rest of you, especially those in the USA, 296 of you who have listed with TRA. You just elected a New President and his theme is YES WE CAN!!!! Everyone works hard for there money, from all walks of life and no one like to be scammed or taken for a fool! Your never retreat and Never surrender! You fight for what is yours! Your country is the leader for the world and for those of you that have listed, especially those who have places in Las Vegas and live there in Nevada. You can make a change, by getting after your Members of Parliament do to something about this! In my post of February 19,2009 at 06:52.44 pm I asked some questions. These were not answered! For those of you that live there you have an opportunity to do something about it, Contact the FBI, Las Vegas Police Force or the Agent ices that look into the kind of Stuff.
"NO RETREAT, NEVER SURRENDER, CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF GETTING RIPPED OFF BY Businesses... Businesses Should be afraid to Rip off their Customers" no guts no glory Do something about it!

Sorry to hear that this company is ripping off timeshare owners who are desperate to sell. When you hire a company to take on the sale or rental of your timeshare make sure that the company is legit and has an incentive to sell your property or get it rented out. If they charge their service fee upfront they have no incentive to work for you so be careful. Vacation Trader would never charge their service fee upfront.
